Roasted Asparagus

INGREDIENTS

asparagus spears, trimmed (thin) 1 Bunch
Olive Oil 3 Tbsp
Garlic salt To taste
Black Pepper To taste
Parmesan cheese (optional) 1.5 Tbsp
Lemon juice (optional) 1 Tbsp

RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

Directions

1. Preheat an oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).

2. Place the asparagus into a mixing bowl, and drizzle with the olive oil. Toss to coat the spears, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese (optional), garlic salt, and pepper. Arrange the asparagus onto a baking sheet in a single layer.

3. Bake in the preheated oven until just tender, 12 to 15 minutes depending on thickness. Sprinkle with lemon juice just before serving.

Notes

You can use a fresh clove of garlic and a teaspoon of sea salt, instead of the garlic salt, if desired. I like it best with garlic salt.
